Frequently Asked Questions

Clear and detailed answers to how matching, direct transfers, and dispute arbitration work.

What is GNL — Givers Network Leagues?

GNL is an automated decentralized peer-to-peer mutual aid coordinator. It connects verified Nigerian members who wish to provide assistance with members requesting community support, executing 100% of transfers directly between personal commercial bank accounts.

Does GNL hold member money in a central wallet?

No. GNL is 100% non-custodial. We have zero pooled depository wallets and zero balance custody. All funds transfer directly from your personal commercial bank account (GTBank, Zenith, Access, First Bank, UBA, Kuda, Opay, etc.) to your matched peer.

How long do I have to pay when matched?

Every match has a strict 12-hour confirmation deadline. You must complete the bank transfer and upload your receipt before the timer expires. Unpaid defaults are automatically suspended to protect other members.

What happens if someone sends a fake receipt?

If a recipient does not receive the payment, they can click "Raise Dispute". Our dispute arbitration team immediately inspects the bank reference and bank gateway logs. Fraudulent accounts are suspended and the genuine recipient is returned to the top of the priority matching queue.

How does the Reliability Score work?

Members earn +2 Reliability Points for every punctual payment. Higher reliability scores unlock priority queue pairing and faster incoming mutual assistance.
